A MEXICAN-AMERICAN SHORT SURF FILM

This film is an exploration to discover a connection to my ancestors.

This journey follows my travels in Mexico in pursuit of a meaningful connection to my homeland and my ancestors. By roaming the land of my ancestral family I am able to find the emotional and cultural history that connects me to my homeland and the ecosystems that surround us.

This film aims to inspire others to think about their homeland and the people that came before them, as well as acknowledge the lands on which we roam.

FILMED IN MEXICO AND CALIFORNIA ON THE ANCESTRAL LANDS OF THE HUICHOL, CORA AND ACJACHEMEN INDIGENOUS PEOPLES.
